Join our Finance team and make an immediate impact
Quarriers is recruiting two Finance Assistants to join our busy and supportive Finance team at Quarriers.
Finance Assistants (Fixed Term) – 2 Opportunities
1 x 6 months ¦ 1 x 12 months (potential to extend)35 hours per week ¦ Monday–Friday ¦ Agile working
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accurate financial processing, and wants to contribute to a large, values-led organisation supporting people across Scotland.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and on time, supporting the delivery of services across a complex, multi-service organisation.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll gain exposure across a wide range of finance activities, including:
- Processing and reconciling transactions across purchase ledger, sales ledger and cashbook
- Monitoring and reconciling bank accounts, ensuring all activity is accurate and up to date
- Processing supplier invoices and supporting payment runs
- Posting income and supporting financial reporting requirements
- Supporting treasury and banking activities across multiple accounts
- Working to tight deadlines and contributing to month-end processes

About the role and working pattern
These roles offer agile working, giving you flexibility in how you work. However, this is not a fully remote role.
You will be expected to:
- Attend our Finance office in Quarriers Village (just outside Bridge of Weir)
- Travel to other Quarriers services as required
Due to the travel involved, a driving licence is preferred to support the wider Finance team.
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from candidates who are organised, proactive and comfortable managing a varied workload.
Essential:
- Experience in a busy finance environment, with exposure to ledger-based processing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good working knowledge of spreadsheets and finance systems
- Ability to manage deadlines and work on your own initiative
