About the role

We’re excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Female Team Leader* to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis, supporting one lady in her own home.

As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in guiding a small, committed team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care. You’ll provide supervision, coaching, and on-shift support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in line with our core values.

You’ll be central to the support planning process—reviewing and adapting care plans in collaboration with the individual, their family, and the wider Sense Scotland team. Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and other professionals is essential to our approach, and your ability to engage with a range of stakeholders will make a real difference.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to individual needs
  • Lead by example—providing supervision, coaching, and on-shift training
  • Support staff to deliver flexible, responsive care for the people we support and their families
  • Manage staffing rotas and adapt to changing needs
  • Oversee and update individual support plans
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with standards
  • Mentor and develop staff to build skills for outstanding care

About You

You’re a natural leader with significant experience supporting individuals with complex care and communication needs. You can motivate and guide colleagues while setting the standard for best practice in social care.

This role could be perfect for you if:

  • You hold SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and are ready to work towards SVQ3 (as required by the SSSC)
  • You have strong IT and organisational skills
  • You understand and champion person-centred practice
  • You’re skilled in coaching and mentoring colleagues
  • You have excellent communication skills, including handling sensitive information
  • A UK driving licence is desirable

This role is offering 28 hours per week (16 hours direct support plus 8 hours sleepover and 4 hour flexible office time)

  • Direct Support: 8:30 AM – 11:00 PM
  • Sleepover: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (paid at standard rate)
  • Morning Support: 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM
  • Flexible Management Time: We’ll work with you each month to agree a convenient time for office paperwork (4 hours per week), making sure it fits around your lifestyle.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Structured shifts with clear expectations
  • Paid sleepovers for extra earnings
  • Flexibility to balance work and life
  • Supportive leadership and a collaborative team environment
