– Current Support Worker
We’re looking for Female Support Workers to join our dedicated team in WR9, supporting six incredible individuals aged 20s–30s with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs. This is a highly rewarding role where every day brings new opportunities to create meaningful experiences.
- Five gentlemen and one lady, each with unique personalities and communication styles
- Most use wheelchairs and hoists; confidence with manual handling is essential
- Strong family involvement and collaborative working with relatives
Their Interests Include:
- Sensory activities, hydrotherapy, and water play
- Trips to Apex motocross, train stations, and church visits
- Music, nursery rhymes, and story time
- Creative hobbies like painting and woodwork
- Fun, silly interactions and role play
You’ll provide 1:1 and 2:1 support, ensuring safety, dignity, and engagement. Responsibilities include:
- Personal care and manual handling
- Supporting PEG feeding and dysphagia needs
- Administering medication (including buccal for epilepsy)
- Promoting independence and meaningful routines
- Engaging in sensory and community activities
- Building strong relationships with families and the team
- Day: 7:30 AM – 8:30 PM / 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM / 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Long Day: 7:30 AM – 10:00 PM
- Night: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM / 10:00 PM – 9:30 AM (Sleep-ins included)
Rotas provided in advance for work-life balance.
