Female Support Worker

Southport
Full-time
31st May 2026
Listed today

In this role, you’ll be supporting two women who live together in their own cosy bungalow in Southport. Their home is full of warmth, laughter and music, and it’s a place where relationships really matter. With everything on one level and a large garden to enjoy, it’s a comfortable, settled home where they feel safe and happy.

Both individuals live with learning disabilities, COPD and sleep apnoea, but these health conditions don’t define them. With the right encouragement and support, they lead rich, fulfilling lives and enjoy being active members of their community.

Daily life in the house is vibrant and varied. Some days are spent relaxing at home, enjoying music, watching TV, crafting, or having a pamper day. Other days are about getting out and about — enjoying lunch trips, theatre outings, scenic drives or social activities. Music, singing and dancing are a big part of the home’s atmosphere, and laughter is never far away.

Your role will be to support them with their everyday routines in a way that feels natural, respectful and empowering. This includes personal care, cooking meals together, administering medication, and joining in with activities and outings — not just supporting for them, but doing things with them. A full UK driving licence (automatic or manual) is essential, as getting out in the car is something they really enjoy.

You’ll receive all the training you need to feel confident and supported in your role, including medication and emergency first‑aid training. You’ll also be welcomed into an experienced and friendly team who value consistency, kindness and working together well.
