Our Support Needs & Challenges
We all have a primary diagnosis of mild learning disability.
What is important to us?
- One of us attends day services Monday to Friday, which plays an important role in supporting emotional wellbeing and maintaining routine.
- Another works five days a week in the kitchen at the local primary school.
- One of us is currently looking for work and is very motivated to find a role in hospitality.
- We also value our personal relationships, with time regularly spent with partners and loved ones.
Our interests and hobbies
We enjoy a wide range of social and leisure activities, including going out for meals, trips to the cinema, shopping, visiting cafés, attending the theatre, concerts and shows, listening to music, cooking and baking. Most of all, we love socialising and enjoying the same activities as other people our age.

What You'll Be Doing
You’ll be supporting 2 ladies to live their daily life in the way they wants to live it. This means you will provide support in a wide variety of ways, including:
We are independent with our personal care and are able to go out on our own, though we can sometimes lack confidence and benefit from encouragement and reassurance. We need varying levels of support with:
- Medication administration
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Household cleaning
- Managing bills and finances
- Planning and organising our daily routines
