Personal Assistant

 

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

 

I am a lady in my early 80’s living in the Trowbridge area of Cardiff, with mobility issues after spinal surgery. I would like to employ a PA to assist me with personal care in my own home. I am unsteady on my feet and fear falling.

HOURS OF WORK

 

2 hours a week as 2 x 1 hour sessions on a Tuesday and Friday late afternoon around 5pm.

RATE OF PAY

 

£15.10 per hour

 

TASKS INVOLVED

  • Keeping me safe by supporting in having a shower
  • To assist me drying and getting dressed.

ABOUT THE JOB

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK before you start work. Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A probation period will be necessary in the first instance.  Wages will be paid 4 weekly.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.
