Premier League Fans Fund Executive

The Premier League Foundation is recruiting for a Fans Fund Executive to support the delivery and development of the Premier League Fans Fund. Working as part of the Premier League Foundation’s Community Engagement team, the role focuses on grant management, partner support, and insight, ensuring funded projects are high-quality, inclusive and deliver meaningful impact for fans and local communities.

The preferred candidate will work closely with football club charities and key partners across the Premier League, EFL and Women’s Super League, supporting them to apply for funding, develop and deliver approved projects and share learning and best practice across the network.

The Premier League Fans Fund will invest £5m over the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons to strengthen the relationship between clubs, fans, and local communities. The Fund supports fan-led and fan-focused initiatives that:

  • Strengthen links between clubs, their charities, and supporters
  • Engage and diversify fan bases, particularly involving underrepresented groups
  • Enhance the matchday and wider fan experience
  • Improve connections between clubs, fans, and their communities

This role supports the Premier League Foundation’s commitment to inclusivity, fairness, and equality, ensuring people of all backgrounds and abilities can benefit from the Fund and the Foundation’s wider work.

Who we are

The Premier League Foundation was established in 2010 to distribute funding provided by the Premier League and its partners to professional football club charities across England and Wales, supporting them in their delivery in thousands of community venues and schools across the country. A total of 106 club charities are supported across the Premier League, English Football League, and National League.

More than 2.5 million individuals have benefitted from the charity, which aims to foster positive sporting, health, personal and education opportunities for children, young people, and the wider community

The Premier League Foundation is an equal opportunities employer and strives to create an inclusive culture where talent can flourish. We believe in the potential of everyone and open our doors to those who share those values. All appointments will be made based on merit; however, we particularly encourage applications from women, people from ethnically diverse communities, LGBTQ+ people, and disabled people.

Our hybrid-working model also allows you some variety on your place of work, offering you the chance to work from home on some days each week. You will attend the office or site visits in line with our company policy. All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.

The Role

  • Coordinate key elements of the Premier League Fans Fund grants process, including application briefings, report and application assessments, payments, and performance monitoring, with a particular focus on the ‘Small Grants’ strand.
  • Ensure funded projects are delivered to a high standard, provide value for money and meet agreed minimum operating standards and any contractual obligations as set out by the Premier League Foundation Board and/or funding partners.
  • Use performance data, insight and learning from delivery to inform future programme development and delivery.
  • Undertake project visits and meetings with football club charities to assess delivery quality and gather insight at the point of delivery.
  • Work with the Impact and Insight team to embed effective monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches across the Fund.
  • Review delivery data to identify trends, learning and examples of best practice.
  • Contribute insight, case studies and learning to internal teams and external partners, including communications activity where required.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with football club charity staff at a range of levels.
  • Provide guidance, support and signposting to help charities successfully deliver funded projects. This includes identifying learning and development needs and working with the Learning and Events Manager to support relevant training provision.
  • Support the development of shared resources and toolkits that meet the practical needs of delivery partners and programme requirements.
  • Coordinate logistics for training courses, conferences, and regional network meetings.
  • Facilitate opportunities for football club charities to share learning, best practice and insight through forums, networks, and events.
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding in all your work and consult with the Safeguarding Team to understand and support the complex safeguarding and risk requirements of Community Engagement programmes and events, and football club charity delivery.
  • Facilitate and manage relationships with key local and national partners across a wide range of Premier League Fans Fund project themes.
  • Work with the Premier League Foundation lead for equality, diversity, and inclusion to effectively embed best practice into all Community Engagement programmes and events, and football club charity delivery.
  • Support across other areas of the Premier League Foundation’s provision, including training, conferences, resource development, football club charity delivery, and national and regional events.
  • Share in Premier League Foundation’s values and participate as a full member of the Premier League Foundation team, and where appropriate, carry out other duties as may reasonably be required, including deputising as appropriate, and giving support to other members of the team at busy times.
  • Ensure Premier League Foundation is connected to other initiatives, policies and organisations working in the same fields through participation in a range of relevant external forums and networks.
