Summary of role
As a Family Support Worker, you will contribute to a comprehensive assessment of parenting for families living at Jasmine Mother & Child. You will be responsible for monitoring & supervising parents where necessary in the care of their children.
Jasmine Mother & Child is a CQC-regulated and Ofsted-registered residential family centre. Women can access pregnancy stabilisation support, or live with their children while addressing substance use, trauma, mental health needs and wider family pressures. The service provides structured support and parenting assessments, helping mothers stabilise, stay in recovery and strengthen safe relationships with their children.

About the role
This role focuses on supporting women in achieving and sustaining their recovery from substance use, including addressing the issues underlying their use, alongside building recovery capital for the future and modelling trauma informed practice with a person-centred approach
What you will do
- Ensure Safeguarding Policies are adhered too by staff and beneficiaries and to appropriately raise concerns with the FSW Team Leader
- Help support parents to acquire the skills of parenting and independent living in terms of role modelling, advice and guidance in line with statutory guidance and Trevi policies and procedures
- Provide regular specific and targeted feedback to parents regarding their parenting and progress in placement
- Monitor & supervise parents where necessary in the care of their children both on site and out in the community including appropriate and compliant use of CCTV to observe women and their families
What you will bring
- Experience of working in a CQC or OFSTED regulated setting
- Robust working knowledge of Safeguarding policies and procedures and the ability to respond appropriately to any concerns
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain clear professional boundaries
- Strong communication and organisational skills
This role would suit someone who
- Is comfortable deliveiring child and family support work in a residential setting
- Has excellent understanding of the principles of high-quality, person-centred care and support and non-discriminatory care practice
- Has an NVQ L3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce Diploma or a willingness to work towards this
- Is reliable and professional

Employment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check; the cost of which will be reimbursed by Trevi.
