At WEBSS (Wakefield Early Behaviour Support Service ), we take a unique, compassionate approach to supporting the emotional wellbeing of children aged 5–10 who experience anxiety or low mood linked to autism or other neurodevelopmental conditions (diagnosed or not).
Our focus is on connection, resilience, and empowerment—helping families feel understood, supported, and confident about the future.
The role:
Location: Hybrid – Kids (Yorkshire), The Active Centre, Castleford (WF10 3UA)
Salary: £12,432 per annum
Hours: Part-time – 18 hours per week including occasional group sessions (4pm–6pm, up to 2 days per week – flexible working discussed at interview)
Essential: Full driving licence

About the Role
As a Family Practitioner, you’ll:
- Create a safe, nurturing environmentfor children and young people aged 5–10
- Support parents and carers to build confidence and connect with others
- Work collaboratively with professionals across health, education, social care, and specialist services
- Deliver and support parent training workshops and interventions
- Help develop colleagues, volunteers, and those with lived experience
- Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeingof children and young people at all times

- Confident supporting neurodivergent children, including those who may communicate distress in different ways
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
