As a Family and Carers Recovery Worker, we offer a starting salary of £25,870 rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £30,265 per year (Pro-Rata). (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary).
This is a part-time role working 4 days per week and based at our Taunton hub.

Role Responsibility
To provide high quality support and interventions to family members and carers of people who use drugs and alcohol. This includes working with adults, young people and families who have been affected by substance use to achieve their goals and improve outcomes for the whole family. The Family and Carers Recovery Workers will carry a case load and provide screening, comprehensive assessments, risk assessment and risk management, recovery planning and review. They will provide outreach services including home visits, deliver 1-1 key working sessions, as well as semi and structured groups to support families.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll have extensive experience in handling significant caseloads in a busy environment as a Family Worker or similar, you'll have a broad understanding of Drugs and Alcohol and the Recovery Agenda. It's an extremely varied role so flexibility a track record of The Drugs and Alcohol National Occupational Standards (DANOS), compliance and knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery will be essential. We are looking to recruit candidates with proven experience of working with young people, young adults, families and carers, excellent communication skills and ideally a vocational qualification such as an NVQ 3 or equivalent.
The successful applicant will be carrying out duties including the facilitation of workshops, compiling risk assessments, risk management plans and care planning.
