About Z2K
Z2K is a London‑based anti‑poverty charity working to end poverty in the UK. We combine specialist advice and
representation in social security and housing with policy and campaigning to change the systems that drive poverty.
Our distinctive strength is the integration of frontline casework, evidence‑led policy and genuine power‑sharing with experts by experience. Lived experience is not an add‑on. It shapes strategy, delivery and public voice.
The organisation employs 13 staff and works with a network of pro bono volunteers. Most income is currently drawn
from trusts and foundations. Advice delivery is primarily London‑based, with policy and campaigning activities that
extend nationally.
Z2K is a small organisation with an outsized policy footprint. The Chief Executive must be comfortable operating at both scales: hands‑on in a lean organisation and credible at senior external tables.
Z2K is an equal opportunity employer. People with lived experience of poverty, from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ individuals and people with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. We welcome evidence of experience from both work and non-work settings such as volunteering and personal life.
