Events Officer
This is an exciting opportunity for an Event Officer to support the Nene Park Trust team, who plan and deliver a number of the Trust's key annual festivals . We are looking for someone who can think on their feet, stay calm under pressure, and make smart decisions when plans need adapting in real time. Outdoor events don’t come with a pause button — and you’ll thrive on that!
The role will encompass a variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, suppliers, performers and partners to plan, develop and deliver Foodie Fridays, Winter Festival and other events within the Trust’s annual Engagement programme
-
Take ownership of the day-to-day planning and delivery of designated events and programme elements, ensuring they are well organised, engaging and delivered to a high standard
-
Manage and develop the Foodie Fridays programme, building relationships with traders, curating vendor line-ups and supporting the delivery of a vibrant street food and entertainment offer
- Support the delivery of Winter Festival throughout November and December, contributing to its development as a flagship, family-focused event that encourages repeat visits
In addition, the ideal candidate will naturally demonstrate the following characteristics:
-
A collaborative team player, willing to contribute ideas and support delivery at all levels
-
Strong work ethic, with resilience and flexibility during peak event periods
-
Passionate about delivering impactful, memorable experiences for visitors
-
Be flexible working across a seven-day week
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
