Salary scale - £30,378 - £33,951 per annum (Girton Single Spine Points 33 to 37 - Depending on skills and experience)
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking an Events Officer to join our team in the Catering Department.
The Events Officer is responsible for the administration of a range of events, from regular weekly catering services and bookings to the delivery of large, complex events run throughout the year.
You will be responsible for a series of administrative and communications tasks, liaising with colleagues across the College to plan and execute the delivery of a busy schedule of events. You will work conscientiously and professionally, paying meticulous attention to detail throughout the event management process. You will be present at events to ensure their smooth delivery and will be motivated by achieving the highest standards of customer service.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished administrator, with a track record of delivery to an exceptionally high standard. Ideally you will already have some events and customer service experience. A proficient user of multiple, IT based systems, you will be a confident communicator, (verbally and in writing), quick to learn and you will need excellent planning and organisational skills. Proactive and solution-focussed, you will demonstrate initiative and good judgement, and you will enjoy taking responsibility for a variety of tasks both behind the scenes and customer-facing. This is an exciting opportunity to support a busy conferencing and catering team in the fabulous surroundings of a Cambridge College!
