Events Fundraising Officer
Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care
Salary: £28,000-£32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, with travel across the North East
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care provides free transport for cancer patients travelling to chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment across the North East. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Events Fundraising Officer to join our growing Income Generation team and help deliver fundraising activities that generate vital income and raise awareness of our work.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver fundraising events, challenge events and community activities while building lasting relationships with supporters, volunteers and local communities. Working closely with the Head of Income Generation, you will help grow participation, maximise income and ensure every supporter receives an outstanding experience.
Essential Criteria
Experience
- Experience of planning, organising and delivering events, fundraising activities or projects involving participants, supporters, volunteers or customers, including coordinating logistics and resources.
- Experience of achieving targets, objectives or income goals.
- Experience of building and maintaining positive relationships with supporters, customers, volunteers or stakeholders.
- Experience of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience of monitoring budgets, expenditure or financial performance.
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire supporters, participants and volunteers.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages and database/CRM systems.
- Ability to analyse information and evaluate the success of activities and events.
Qualifications and Other Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability and willingness to travel independently across the North East to attend events, meetings and fundraising activities.
