Reports to: Venue & Events Sales Manager

Based: Wandsworth Civic Suite/ Battersea Park Venues 

Salary: £29,000-£32,000

Contract: Permanent, Full Time/Part Time 

Work Arrangement: 40 hours per week, Flexible Working, Office Based

DBS: Basic

Role Overview: 

The Events Team are a busy, creative, tight knit group of vibrant professionals who are looking for someone to join the team who pride themselves in 5 start customer service and going the extra mile for their clients. In the Events Team we celebrate creative problem solving, autonomy and integrity in our approach to work. 

This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of weddings and private events across Enable’s venues in Wandsworth, including the Pump House Gallery, Bandstand and Bowling Green in Battersea Park, and Wandsworth Civic Suite.

The position combines operational delivery, client management and sales support. The successful candidate will be hands-on, highly organised and confident leading events onsite, ensuring they are delivered safely, smoothly and to a consistently high standard.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:   

Event Operations & Delivery 

  • Lead on site operation and delivery of weddings and private events, including supplier coordination, onsite management and post-event administration
  • Act as the onsite lead, resolving issues calmly and efficiently
  • Supporting the physical set-up and dismantling of events
  • Convey detailed event briefs for operational teams and coordinate casual staff
  • Ensure all event documentation complies with Event Policy and health & safety requirements
  • Supporting the Head of Events and Events Team with the delivery of events produced by Enable
  • Maintain high standards across venue presentation, equipment and facilities

Sales & Client Management 

  • Respond to enquiries, provide availability and prepare quotes
  • Conduct site visits and support clients throughout the planning process
  • Update internal systems (including Artifax and Asana) accurately
  • Support delivery of the venue sales strategy
  • Contribute to agreed income targets
  • Manage multiple clients simultaneously while maintaining excellent service standards

Administration & Finance 

  • Manage event budgets and recorded income
  • Raise purchase orders and create client invoices
  • Liaise with the Finance Team and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Carry out additional administrative or projects duties as required by senior management

Health & Safety 

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to onsite
  • Support the safe operational delivery of events
  • Ensure venues remain compliant, safe and event-ready

Skills and Experience:   

  • Proven wedding and venue coordination experience with demonstrable end-to-end event management
  • Experience managing budgets and financial processes
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously
  • Confident working independently and making decisions under pressure
  • Professional communication and negotiation skills
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Competent using Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to work weekends, early mornings and late nights
