Description
This is an opportunity for a competent administrator to play a key role supporting the delivery of lettings and events in the summer of 2026 at one of the leading schools in the UK.
As Events and Lettings Assistant, you will be the face of Uppingham School Enterprises to external clients and will assist the Commercial Team with the day-to-day operational management of all commercial activities that take place during the summer season, providing administrative and customer service support.
This will include liaising with clients regularly and ensuring their stay is enjoyable, ensuring boarding houses are prepared and ready for the arrival of clients, and ensuring clients are aware of health and safety procedures. You will also need to liaise with departments such as Catering, Porterage, Maintenance, and Accounts to ensure the efficient operation of the programme of courses, functions, and events throughout the summer.
For this role, you will require customer service or events experience, with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated programmes, in addition to excellent communication and diplomatic skills.
This role is offered as a fixed term contract for the summer season from July until September 2026. The working hours will be based on approx. 40 hours per week, including some evening and weekend working on a rota.
