Job Description

We are looking for Event Managers to join the Three Choirs Festival team in Gloucester this summer.

The Role

Event Managers look after our concerts, spoken word events and workshops during the Festival. You will work closely with our production and artistic teams, and with a group of experienced front of house volunteers, to ensure a seamless experience for artists, sponsors and audience members.

Key Responsibilities

Artist Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for artists on site, assisting with artist liaison and backstage needs during rehearsals and performances.

Venue and Stage Management: Ensure the stage and venue are set up in advance of rehearsals and performances. Liaise with venue staff on the event day. Provide stage management during rehearsals and performances.

Scheduling and Logistics: Ensure events run smoothly and on time.

Teamwork: With information provided by the Festival’s production, artistic and box office teams, lead, brief and manage event volunteers and ushers.

Front of House Management: Oversee all front of house operations at events, including ushering, audience seating and ticketing checks.

Safety and Compliance: With information provided by the Festival’s production team, ensure all venues meet Health & Safety obligations and manage on-site emergencies.

Requirements

  • At least two years' experience in event/concert management, preferably within a classical music, arts or festival environment.
  • A genuine interest in classical music, the arts and live performance. Experience of working on choral and orchestral concerts is desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, and to work effectively and calmly under pressure. Ability to communicate positively with artists, colleagues, volunteers, sponsors, supporters and audience members.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong logistical planning abilities.
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required by the Festival schedule.
  • Fees dependent on availability, schedule and experience.

Event Managers will need to be available Friday 24 July – Saturday 1 August 2026, for our festival in Gloucester.
