Location: Brimscombe, Stroud
Hours: 16 hours per week - evenings only, worked over 5 days
Salary: £23,500 per annum pro rata
Holidays: 25 days + statutory pro rata
Pension: 6% employer contribution
Are you passionate about supporting people on their journey to recovery? The Nelson Trust is looking for a caring, reliable minibus Driver to join our Residential Services team. You’ll play a vital role in helping clients access the very best opportunities for long-term recovery.
What You’ll Do
- Safely transport clients to mutual aid meetings using the Trust's minibus.
- Build positive relationships that encourage engagement with treatment.
- Carry out weekly safety checks on vehicles and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support our team by assisting different departments as directed.
Working Hours
- The role is for evening driving weekdays 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
- The mutual aid meetings are all located within Gloucestershire and the furthest afield meetings are Gloucester/Cheltenham.
- Working hours are dependent on the start of the meeting/travel time etc. but as a guideline you would need to be available from 6pm until 10pm.
What We’re Looking For
- Full, clean driving licence (Category D1 for minibus driving is a plus)
- Previous experience with driving a 17-seater Minibus is desirable. You need to be comfortable with manoeuvring a large vehicle.
- Experience in a residential setting is desirable.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
- First aid and health & safety awareness.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to build supportive relationships with clients.
