Evening Domestic Cleanerto join our Domestics team and help us maintain the high standards that support our students and staff every day.Experience & BackgroundThe successful candidate will need to be a reliable and capable individual, who can use their own initiative, as well as work as part of a team. Experience of cleaning in a school environment would be beneficial but not essential as full training and support will be given.
DutiesAs part of our Whole School Domestics Department, you will work closely with our Domestic Supervisors and the wider Domestic Operations Team to deliver outstanding cleaning services across the school. This is a role where reliability, pride in your work, and a positive attitude really matter.
Your responsibilities will include:- Carrying out a range of cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and cobwebbing.
- Working on a rotational basis to support the team and cover absence.
- Contributing fully to Spring and Deep Cleaning programmes.
- Continuously seeking ways to improve cleaning standards and techniques.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Facilities department.
- Upholding excellent timekeeping, attendance, and professional standards.
- Following Health & Safety policies, including manual handling and COSHH requirements.
- Demonstrating a strong personal commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
This post is
Regulated Activity.Hours of WorkThis post works all year round both during when the school is open and students are present and during school holiday and closure periods and you will be required to work 15 hours each week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 19:00 hrs and 22:00 hrs of 3 hours per evening.
£12.71 per hour, Annual salary for 15 hours per week is £9,913.80 based on the above hours and weeks of work which is pro-rata of the full-time equivalent salary of £24,784.50 per annum.
