Our Ministries Team, based at Baptist House in Didcot, supports the training, care and development of Baptist ministers in all settings. This includes dealing with difficult matter of behaviour and conduct when these arise.
This new role strengthens our commitment to safeguarding the integrity, accountability, and Christian ethical culture of Baptist ministry. The postholder will contribute to this by jointly overseeing ministerial conduct processes, supporting ministers and Associations in matters of ethics and discipline, and embedding a culture of Continuing Ministerial Development (CMD) across Baptist Ministry.
You will be an accredited Baptist minister in good standing with our Union, and with significant experience working with challenging situations in church life. We will be looking for demonstrable experience in ministerial leadership and pastoral oversight, as well as a character that shows high emotional intelligence, discretion and resilience. This work requires a strong understanding of safeguarding, justice and ministerial accountability.
