Context
Childhood First enables children and young people to recover from early life abuse and relational trauma, to enjoy life and to achieve their potential. We do this through the provision of specialist therapeutic residential care and treatment, together with family and network support.
Greenfields Therapeutic Community comprises of Greenfields House, Gables House, Oakwood House and Greenfields School.
Purpose
We are seeking a thoughtful and multi-skilled professional to assist in the maintenance of our buildings, grounds and property.
As the post is servicing the homes and school the Estates Maintenance Assistant will be working amongst children and therefore is expected to have a friendly disposition whilst maintaining appropriate boundaries.
What you’ll bring to the role
The person we are seeking will have good planning skills, qualifications and experience in building, estates, gardening or allied trades, knowledge of health and safety and will upkeep the estate to an appropriate standard. The following skills and abilities are also required;
- The ability to Priorities your workload in order to meet the demands of the community.
- Experience of working in the maintenance field or building and/or estate works.
- Good levels of physical fitness
- Accurate, methodical and well organised.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team or use own initiative when required.
