Are you passionate about the arts, great customer experiences, and creating inclusive spaces?

We’re looking for an Entertainment & Events Duty Manager to help run our vibrant arts venue and support operations across our social enterprise sites.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys leading teams, supporting neurodiverse staff and apprentices, and ensuring every visitor has an outstanding experience.

What you’ll do: 

  • Oversee day‑to‑day venue operations, including front‑of‑house and bar/coffee hub.
  • Lead opening/closing procedures, security checks and cash handling.
  • Ensure all spaces are clean, safe, accessible and event‑ready.
  • Support our marketing activity by sharing updates and results with the team.
  • Provide a warm welcome to all visitors and lead on wedding enquiries, venue tours and bookings.
  • Manage customer platforms, including TicketSolve and social channels.
  • Mentor staff, volunteers and apprentices — promoting a supportive, inclusive environment.
  • Act as Fire Marshal and First Aid lead during shifts.
  • Work with technicians, performers, event organisers and wedding planners to deliver smooth events.
  • Monitor audience flow, ticket sales and customer experience.
  • Complete end‑of‑day cash reconciliations and secure deposits.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, licensing laws and health & safety standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experiencein hospitality, events, customer service or similar.
  • Experience in Theatre Operations
  • Confident communicator with strong people‑management skills.
  • Calm, solution‑focused approach in busy or pressured situations.
  • Passion for inclusion and the ability to support people with diverse needs.
  • Understanding of health & safety and venue operations.
  • Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with social media.
  • First Aid qualification (training can be provided).
