An exciting opportunity has arisen within Human Resources for an Employment Services Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to our Employment Services Team. This post is available on a Full-Time basis, 36.5 hours per week, for a period of up to 5 months. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive individual with good organisational and administrative skills. You will be an outgoing person with a flexible approach to work who must be able to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team. The position may suit a Graduate looking to gain some experience in an HR Environment.
Job Description
Human Resources is responsible for providing a comprehensive and co-ordinated HR service to the University community consistent with employment legislation and best practice.
The HR team comprises of members of professional staff who are supported by administrative staff, each having responsibility for an individual area within the University. Matters dealt with for each staff category are wide ranging and encompass conditions of employment, discipline/grievance matters, employment law, industrial relations, management/employee information and general advice, job evaluation, promotion/grading, staff development and training and staffing policies and procedures.
In addition, the HR Systems team is responsible for the management of the integrated HR/Payroll system and the provision of accurate and timely management information to colleagues internal and external to HR.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 3, £25,255- £26,707 per annum, pro rata, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK.
