Salary: £25,000 - £30,400 plus benefits

We’re looking for an Email & SMS Marketing Executive to join Cancer Research UK on Fixed term basis and help deliver high-quality, impactful campaigns that bring our work to life and inspire action. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team of specialists, supporting the delivery of communications that play a vital role in funding life-saving research.

In this role, you’ll support the delivery of a wide range of email and SMS campaigns, working closely with marketing teams from across the charity. You’ll help plan supporter journeys, optimise communications, and ensure campaigns are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. Alongside this, you’ll review performance, analyse results, and use these insights to help improve future campaigns.

A key part of the role will involve building and sending campaigns using Adobe Campaign. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to be trained on Adobe Campaign, develop your knowledge of email and SMS best practice, campaign optimisation, and marketing technology within a supportive and collaborative environment.

We’re looking for someone who is keen to build a career in marketing, with a particular interest in email and SMS Marketing. You’ll be curious, proactive, and eager to learn, with a strong approach to problem solving and the confidence to contribute ideas and see them through to delivery. You’ll be well organised, with strong attention to detail, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’ll also enjoy working as part of a team and collaborating with others to deliver the best possible outcomes.

What you’ll be doing?  

  • Working in a team of six to build and send email and SMS campaigns using Adobe Campaign

  • Manage administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Email & SMS teams processes, including user access for tools like Taxi for Email and Adobe Campaign

  • Work with marketing teams to plan and deliver email and SMS marketing campaign plans on time

  • Support the Email & SMS Marketing Senior Executives with larger email optimisation and delivery projects

  • Work collaboratively with other Digital Marketing teams, such as Website and content teams to ensure the whole supporter journey is optimised

  • Gather learnings of digital marketing trends or changes and work to implement these at Cancer Research UK

  • Support on reporting and post-campaign analysis, sharing recommendations on how to improve future campaign

What are we looking for?  

  • Have an interest and enthusiasm for Marketing and a desire to learn and develop skills in email and SMS Marketing

  • Able to use Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Ability to prioritise, manage conflicting deadlines, work well under pressure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • The ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively

  • Experience of sending emails through an Email Marketing Platform

  • Understanding of audience segmentation, personalization and UX principles and experience of interpreting results

  • Experience of writing email content and running marketing campaigns and subsequent campaign analysis
