Reports to: Head of Shows
Hours: Part time - 28 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work is required.
Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 per annum (pro-rata based on 28 hours a week)
Location: Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire
About Three Counties
The Three Counties Showground in Malvern is home to the Three Counties Agricultural Society. The Society is a charity whose main objectives are to promote Agriculture, Horticulture, Arboriculture, Apiculture, Rural Skills and Crafts and Conservation for the Public Benefit across the Three Counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. It achieves this primarily through a flagship fundraising events programme, student bursaries and a wide range of educational events.
Responsible for:
Leading and coordinating educational initiatives at: Three Counties Careers Fair, Countrytastic, RHS Malvern Spring Festival, Royal Three Counties Show and Malvern Autumn Show.
Job Purpose:
The Education Executive plays a key role in shaping and delivering the Three Counties Agricultural Society’s educational initiatives with a strong focus on engaging young people in agriculture, horticulture, and food production. Working closely with schools, businesses and industry partners to create innovative and curriculum-aligned learning experiences, this position is integral to expanding the Society’s educational outreach and ensuring its long-term impact.
Key Objectives and Tasks:
Design, implement, lead & evaluate educational activities for all main Society events.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools to enhance educational visits, ensuring they remain engaging, curriculum-aligned, and relevant to teachers and students. Produce quarterly newsletters to foster ongoing engagement and communication.
Organise the annual Three Counties Careers Fair by liaising with local businesses and universities to host interactive stands and sessions for students to take part in.
Retain, grow and develop the School Garden Challenge which takes place at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival. Liaise with all contributors and sponsors to ensure that this area remains fresh and incorporates a new theme each year.
Organise and manage school visits to the Royal Three Counties Show and develop engaging workshops and interactive sessions that encourage hands-on learning experiences.
Build strong partnerships with organisations such as LEAF Education, Society sponsors and local businesses.
Promote and review applications for educational bursaries. Act as the key liaison between applicants and the bursary awards committee and ensure those who are successful engage with the Society and shows.
Prepare quarterly reports for the Charitable Objectives Committee and for the Annual Review focusing on educational initiatives at shows.
Collaborate with shows, marketing and operations teams to ensure educational elements are effectively integrated within each show.

A high degree of self-motivation and ambition.
Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Desirable: Awareness of CPD accreditation/points systems and agricultural, horticultural and rural career pathways.
