The British Journal of Pharmacology (BJP), published by the British Pharmacological Society, is seeking new Editors to join its Editorial Board.

We are inviting applications for Editor positions to support our expanding work in bioinformatics, with a particular focus on computational biology and methods in all areas of pharmacology and drug development.

This is a voluntary role and an excellent opportunity for researchers who want to contribute to the scientific community, gain editorial experience, and help shape the direction of the journal.About the Journal
BJP is the flagship journal of the British Pharmacological Society (BPS). It publishes high-quality research across the full spectrum of basic and translational pharmacology and drug development. Guided by the Society’s tradition and its 2025 Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Action Plan, BJP is committed to rigour, transparency, and a publishing culture in which every voice in pharmacology can be heard.

About the Role

Editors play a key part in maintaining the quality and integrity of our peer review process. Working closely with fellow editors and authors, you will assess new submissions, manage papers through the peer review process, and make decision recommendations to the Senior Editor in charge.

Previous editorial experience is helpful but not essential. Guidance and onboarding support will be provided.
