We are seeking experienced, self-employed contractors to support the review of assessment materials from an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) perspective.
Working with our product development teams, you will provide independent scrutiny of new and revised assessment content, ensuring it is fair, accessible, and representative of diverse communities.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct desk-based reviews of assessment materials and exam papers, focusing on:
- Accessibility and clarity of language
- Inclusive and unbiased representation
- Appropriateness of topics, scenarios, and contexts
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to inform revisions
- Attend Question Paper Evaluation Committee (QPEC) meetings as required, contributing to final sign-off decisions
We’re looking for individuals with:
- Strong understanding of EDI principles in education and/or assessment
- Experience reviewing or developing assessment materials
- Ability to identify bias, barriers, or unintended exclusion
- Confidence contributing to professional review panels or committees
