Job Title – East Sussex NEET Programme Team Leader

Salary: £32,019 - £34,661

Location: East Sussex (Hybrid – office/home/Field Based)

Contract: Permanent - Full time – 37 hours

Reports to: Regional Manager

Job Purpose:

  • Provide line management support to Youth Coaches and Assistant Youth Coaches to ensure young people accessing the service achieve best outcomes in moving into employment, education, and training.
  • Lead on the recruitment of young people for each programme to ensure full cohorts start the programme in line with the contract requirements.
  • Effectively use data and associated metrics to ensure programmes are delivered in locations with the highest need and concentration of NEET young people. Analysing information and preparing reports to support the ongoing work with NEET young people.
  • Work closely with the Area Manager to maintain quality standards, improve efficiency, carry out regular auditing, observations and planning for service improvement.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering line management and programme support to a team of Youth Coaches and Assistant Youth Coaches, ensuring adherence to service standards, quality frameworks and staff development.
  • Ensure programme venues are arranged and fully risk assessed, to enable delivery of the programme across all districts in East Sussex.
  • Support the oversight and allocation of all referrals into the service ensuring KPIs are met
  • Deliver and lead on programmes, providing cover for Youth Coaches as required.
  • Manage and maintain the programme database to support tracking and caseload management, ensuring all statutory and local requirements for monitoring young people across East Sussex are met, including Data Protection and GDPR
  • Represent CXK at local stakeholder meetings and working groups, promoting the service and highlighting the needs for our NEET cohort.
  • Contribute data analysis and narrative to a range of internal and external reports to ensure best practice in supporting young people, as well as ensuring the collection and collation of case studies and other impact data
  • Support staff to ensure compliance with CXK Safeguarding and Health & Safety procedures offering support and guidance as needed on reporting, recording and risk management.
  • Actively promote youth participation within the organisation supporting staff to identify young people who want to get involved in supporting CXK projects.
  • Work with a wide range of external stakeholders, managing relationships and requests with existing resource and with a solution focussed approach.
  • Work closely with all departments in CXK, in particular the Youth Employability Service and Connect to Work, to ensure beneficiaries get access to the services they need.Be aware of the health, safety, and welfare of the people we work with during all aspects of the programme, encouraging safe working practices and raising people’s awareness of risk.
  • Take an active role in relation to own Personal and Continuous Professional Development including attending regular, line manager reviews, appraisal and planning own training and development needs.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time. The duties may be changed and/or varied to meet changing circumstances at the discretion of Management
