Role overview 

*Please note - applicants must be over 25 years old (insurance requirement).

We are looking for a reliable driver to join our team at Solalights, based in Hayes, West London.

This role is central to our operation. Our drivers are the public face of the company and play a key part in maintaining our reputation for professionalism, reliability and care.

Key responsibilities

  • Driving company vehicles and carrying out deliveries and collections to clients and suppliers
  • Taking responsibility for company vehicles, including weekly checks and regular cleaning, or more frequently when required
  • Loading and unloading vehicles and assisting the warehouse team where necessary
  • Assisting with checking equipment in and out of the warehouse (full training provided)
  • Politely and professionally handling delivery-related issues on site, escalating where needed
  • Working to company procedures and maintaining high standards of health and safety

  • Full UK driving licence with a clean record
  • Punctuality and reliability — being on time is critical
  • Professional, calm and polite communication with clients and suppliers
  • Ability to negotiate delivery issues diplomatically and represent Solalights positively
  • Careful, considerate driving that protects company vehicles, equipment and reputation
  • Willingness to work paid overtime, including occasional weekends
  • Physically able to handle lighting equipment in the warehouse and on deliveries
    To support safety and professional presentation, high-visibility clothing and Solalights-branded tops should be worn while working.
