Please note in regards to location this role will be across Gloucestershire/ Wiltshire and Somerset with weekly meetings in Exeter.
Please note that this role is peripatetic with home and office working
We will consider applicants for internal secondment to the role, as well as part-time and job-sharing possibilities
Working hours: Minimum 35 hours per week including some evenings and weekends

The purpose of this role is to support the mission of The Salvation Army by ensuring that young people and their leaders are encouraged, developed and resourced. The role will involve developing the current programme as well as working alongside with local leaders to grow a divisional youth programme in accordance with local needs, ensuring best fit with existing youth ministry. Supporting young people in the development of their own discipleship and encourage corps to receive and nurture their potential.
Are you….
A committed and practising Christian, ideally with knowledge of the Salvation Army
An experienced youth professional with working knowledge of youth work values, professional practices and a range of styles and models. Are you able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, (at least one Sunday a month) across Gloucestershire/ Wiltshire and Somerset with weekly meetings in Exeter.
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant experience and knowledge of youth ministry and from corps/church
- Strong organisational skills
- Exceptional communication skills using a range of styles including digital and social media
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
