Director (The Wildlife Information Centre)
We are seeking two new Directors to fill vacancies in our Board of Directors. We are especially keen to hear from individuals with expertise or experience in finance, charity governance, public relations / communications and fundraising.
As a TWIC Director, you’ll help guide TWIC’s strategic direction, support its charitable mission, and contribute to the success of the organisation. You’ll also help ensure TWIC meets its legal and charitable obligations.
The Wildlife Information Centre (TWIC) is an environmental charity with an established reputation for excellence in the provision of biodiversity data within south-east and part of central Scotland. With 3.6 FTE staff plus volunteers, TWIC currently holds 4.57 million species records as well as extensive habitats and designated sites information. Our programme of events supports new and existing recorders and stimulates interest in biological recording amongst the wider public.
TWIC is part of a network of Local Environmental Records Centres (LERCs) nationally and is a member of the National Biodiversity Network (NBN) Trust and Association of Local Environmental Records Centres (ALERC).
If you are passionate about making biodiversity data in Scotland work for nature and want to use your skills and experience to make a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you.
