We’re looking for commercially minded technology leader to join CRUK at a pivotal moment of transformation. As our Director of Customer Experience Technology, you’ll shape and lead the platforms, products and data capabilities that power income streams across our mass audiences — enabling millions of supporters to connect with our cause in more meaningful, personalised ways.
You’ll drive the technology behind our Engage Transformation Programme, integrating relationship management, MarTech and AdTech ecosystems while strengthening the data foundations that make us truly audience-led. You’ll champion innovation — including AI and emerging technologies — turning bold ideas into measurable impact with rigour and professionalism.
What will I be doing?
-
Set strategy: Define and deliver the fundraising technology roadmap, integrating CRM, MarTech, AdTech and data platforms.
-
Lead delivery: Own technology delivery for the Engage Transformation Programme, including CRM, Donation Management, Supporter Journey Management, and Campaign Management.
-
Drive AI adoption: Implement AI and emerging technologies to improve personalisation, optimisation and efficiency.
-
Ensure robust operations: Maintain secure, resilient and cost-effective services with strong governance and supplier management.
-
Lead teams: Build and develop high-performing, inclusive product and engineering teams using agile practices.
-
Partner strategically: Work with senior leaders to align technology with organisational priorities and represent CRUK externally.
What are we looking for?
-
Proven experience leading large-scale technology transformation in complex, consumer-facing organisations.
-
Strong expertise in CRM, martech/adtech, data integration, digital product management and AI applications in marketing/fundraising.
-
Commercially astute, with experience managing multi-million-pound budgets and strategic supplier relationships.
-
Strategic thinker who balances long-term vision with income targets and operational delivery.
-
Influential leader with strong stakeholder management skills, experienced in matrixed environments and cross-functional collaboration.
-
Accountable and outcome-focused, role-modelling leadership values, building capability and maintaining operational integrity.
-
Adaptable, resilient and motivated by CRUK’s mission, using technology to drive measurable impact.
Our organisation values are designed to guide all that we do.
Bold: Act with ambition, courage and determination
Credible: Act with rigour and professionalism
Human: Act to have a positive impact on people

We’re looking for people who can believe in and embody these organisation values and can use them to drive forward progress against our mission to beat cancer.
If you’re interested in applying and excited about working with us but are unsure if you have the right skills and experience we’d still love to hear from you.
