Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Director of Performance & Technology to join our team based in Aldgate, London.
About us
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
Together with our partners, we support over 15,000 young people each year.
The role
As Director of Performance & Technology, you will provide senior leadership across Centrepoint’s strategy, planning, performance management, digital, data, technology, AI and enterprise change capabilities.
You will lead our organisational strategy and planning, oversee our performance management framework and provide strategic direction across digital transformation and technology. You will lead our multi-year Big Change Programme, champion innovation through AI and automation, and ensure our technology and systems deliver value for money and support the Charity’s objectives.
Working collaboratively across Centrepoint, you will provide strategic advice, lead complex transformation programmes and ensure strong governance across our digital, data and technology landscape.
Office-based working
Colleagues are required to spend a minimum of 50% of their working week in our offices and must be able to commit to this requirement each week. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). For colleagues on different contracts (including part-time or compressed contracts) this will be adjusted accordingly. Our core working hours are 9:30am to 4:30pm, and colleagues must be in the office during these times.
About you
- Significant senior leadership experience across strategy, planning and performance management.
- Strong experience leading digital transformation and complex organisational change programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders, partners and suppliers.
- Strong technical knowledge alongside a clear understanding of business fundamentals and organisational strategy.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams, budgets, risks, governance and outsourced digital-service contracts.
- Collaborative, flexible and inspirational leadership style, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and delivery.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the development of Centrepoint’s organisational strategy, annual plan and performance management approach.
- Lead the multi-year Big Change Programme and organisation-wide digital transformation across multiple systems.
- Develop and implement Centrepoint’s Digital Roadmap, Data Architecture and Target Operating Model.
- Lead our responsible AI and automation strategy, including governance, adoption and measuring benefits and risks.
- Oversee digital services, technology infrastructure, cyber security, information risk and business continuity.
- Provide strategic leadership across the PMO, change portfolio, technology governance and delivery of complex organisational programmes.
Why join Centrepoint?
In return for your efforts, you’ll receive a competitive salary, excellent training and development, and a host of staff benefits including:
- 25 days of annual leave per year, rising by one day per year to a maximum of 27 days
- Healthcare cash plan (Cover the costs of a wide range of medical treatment including Dental, Optical, Complementary and Alternative therapies).
- Private Medical insurance
- Income protection
- Employer pension contributions of 5%
- Access to Cycle 2 Work loan scheme
- An interest-free travel loan
