Job Introduction

Autism Anglia is a well-established independent charity dedicated to supporting autistic people across the region. We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Community Services to play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring teams and volunteers to deliver high-impact, community-focused services.

Passionate about community development, the postholder will drive the transformation of our community offer, ensuring an integrated, consistent, and sustainable approach while working closely with the CEO and wider executive team to shape and deliver our strategic vision and will help foster a caring and inclusive culture across Autism Anglia.

Salary

From £60-75,000 depending on experience

Hours

Full-time: 35 hours per week

About the role

  • Work with the Chief Executive and Executive Team to shape and deliver the Services Strategy
  • Lead the planning and delivery of local services, with full budget accountability
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new and existing services
  • Take overall responsibility for team and service performance, driving high-quality outcomes
  • Embed strong monitoring, evaluation, and quality standards across all services
  • Ensure services are inclusive, integrated, and responsive to community needs
  • Build effective partnerships internally and externally, contributing to wider organisational projects
  • Champion the voice of autistic people across service design and delivery, ensuring effective safeguarding and complaint resolution

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
