Help embed Circular Living in every boardroom and every home.
WRAP is a global environmental action NGO, working to transform the product and food systems that lie behind the climate crisis, the loss of nature and the mountains of waste polluting our land and water.
Established in the UK in 2000, we work in over 40 countries and have offices in the UK and Washington D.C. Food, textiles and manufactured products together account for close to half of global greenhouse gas emissions, and we offer a different way of doing things: design, make, reuse — an approach we call Circular Living. Rooted in technical expertise, an impartial evidence base and independent convening power, we bring together businesses, governments and NGOs to deliver the systemic change our planet and communities need.
We are looking for a Director of Communications to lead WRAP's external communications, marketing and campaigns work. Reporting to the CEO and working in close partnership with the Executive team, you'll have the opportunity to shape how WRAP shows up with business, governments, funders and partners in the UK and internationally, helping us grow our global influence, attract support and deliver real impact.
Starfish is acting as an employment agency advisor to WRAP on this appointment. We are committed to being equal opportunities organisations - should you wish to discuss accessibility or any reasonable adjustments you may require, please don't hesitate to let them know, and they will be more than happy to help with any queries.
FOR FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROLE, INCLUDING DETAILS ABOUT HOW TO APPLY, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK STARFISH SEARCH. APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE RECEIVED BY SUNDAY 27 SEPTEMBER 2026.
About WRAP
WRAP is a climate action NGO working around the globe to tackle the causes of the climate crisis and give the planet a sustainable future. Our vision is a thriving world in which climate change is no longer a problem.
At WRAP we believe that our natural resources shouldn’t be wasted. And that everything we use should be re-used and recycled. Our mission is to make the world a more sustainable place. We bring people together, we act on the facts, and we drive change.
Our core purpose is to help tackle climate change and protect our planet by changing the way things are produced, consumed and disposed of.
If you join us at WRAP – and we think you should – you'll help us by tackling sustainable product design, reducing waste, encouraging re-use or advocating recycling across the food and drink, plastic packaging, clothing and textiles and the collections and recycling sectors.
You can help us all to do better.
Ready to lead the way to circular living?
If you think you have what it takes but your experience looks different to what is advertised, please still apply. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of your age, race, gender, neurodiversity, ability, beliefs, sexuality, or personal preferences.
