Are you passionate about disability rights? Do you believe that those with lived experience should lead the way in social care? Disabled People’s Voice (DPV) is a user-led co-operative and social enterprise dedicated to filling the gaps left by statutory bodies. We are looking for new Directors to join our board and help us build a society where Disabled People are empowered, connected, and valued.
The Role
As a Director you will set our strategic direction, represent DPV at high-profile forums like Purple Tuesday, and act as a custodian of our mission.
- Commitment: 2–4 days per month.
- Location: Home-based (Zoom/Teams) with occasional meetings across Hampshire.
Who We Are Looking For
We are specifically seeking individuals who:
- Have lived experience of a disability or long-term condition.
- Align with the Social Model of Disability.
- Possess social media or digital marketing skills to help grow our presence.
- Have expertise in campaigning, direct payments, or fundraising.
