Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP) Member
We are seeking individuals to join the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP), supporting and strengthening safeguarding practice across the Diocese of Sheffield.
The DSAP provides advice, guidance and assurance to the Bishop and Diocesan leadership team, helping to ensure a high standard of safeguarding for children, young people and vulnerable adults. The panel brings together expertise, knowledge and experience from Diocesan officers, statutory partners and parish representatives with support from an Independent Chair.
We are particularly interested in parish representatives (e.g. Parish Safeguarding Officers and incumbents).
· Voluntary role
· Four meetings per year (a mix of in-person in Rotherham and virtual)
· Initial 3-year term (with possible extension)
· Appointment subject to safer recruitment guidance
