• Guide the Board on its investment portfolio to maximise returns and support the Board in managing investment risk;
• Support our Ethical Investment policy;
• Participate in shaping the future of continued robust financial practice and governance within the Diocese of Portsmouth;
• Represent any views particularly relating to clergy.
• Monitor the performance of the DBF’s financial investments;
• Consider the asset allocation needs afforded by the DBF’s changing requirements, changing financial climate, liquidity position, and help make recommendations to the Bishop’s Council accordingly;
• Meet annually with the investment managers, discuss their results and performance and consider any recommendations to be given to the Board to achieve the Board`s investment strategy;
• To advise on appropriate interest rates to affect Parish Loans and the terms and conditions associated with these loans.
• An understanding or background in Investments or Financial experience;
• The ability to balance the group’s views with those relating to clergy.

Diocesan Investment Oversight Group member

We are looking for a member of clergy to work with us as a member of our Diocesan Investment Oversight Group (IOG).

The Investment Oversight Group meets quarterly and meetings are generally online and late morning, with one per year held in person at our offices in Portsmouth.
