Digital Coordinator

• Salary:£20.13 per hour/ £37,814 per annum (full-time)
• Hours:36 hours per week (to be worked over 5 days)
• Location:The postholder will work across Edinburgh from VOCAL’s Edinburgh Carer Centre at 60 Leith Walk, EH6 5HB, with occasional meetings at VOCAL’s Midlothian Carer Centre, Eskbank, Dalkeith.

VOCAL – Voice of Carers Across Lothian is a carer-led organisation delivering a wide range of services to support unpaid carers in their caring role. We are seeking a Digital Coordinator to play a key role in the development and delivery of our digital and IT infrastructure, helping ensure our systems effectively support our work with unpaid carers across the Lothians.

While most day-to-day technical support is delivered by external providers, this role requires strong digital skills and understanding to translate organisational needs, manage suppliers, oversee digital systems and support ongoing digital development. Reporting to our Head of Digital and Communications, the postholder will act as the main internal point of contact between VOCAL and our external suppliers and providers.

The successful candidate will have strategic awareness alongside excellent IT and communication skills, and an ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders. They will evidence:

• an understanding of IT and digital operations, including cyber security, use of AI and support and development of systems and applications
• experience of working with internal and external stakeholders within a medium-sized organisation to support IT and digital operations
• experience of planning and implementing successful digital projects
