This role is well suited to someone interested in education, community engagement and fundraising, and offers valuable experience of working on a large-scale capital-style campaign within a state school setting.
One of the initial projects the successful candidate will be working on is one of its most ambitious fundraising initiatives to date – the STEM Rising Campaign. This major project will raise funds to renovate and transform the school’s original 1950s and 1960s Design & Technology and Science laboratories into modern, inclusive and industry-standard learning environments that will inspire current and future generations of students.
The main campus for TWGSB is in Tunbridge Wells. However, you may be required to work at other sites connected to TWGSB.
We are currently undergoing a period of transformational change benefiting from a multi-million pound investment in Tunbridge Wells and a brand new building at our Sevenoaks campus, which opened in September 2021. Since September 2025 Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys has become one of the largest boys’ grammar schools in the country. Here we all share the same vision: ‘To be the best selective boys’ school in West Kent’ and our journey towards achieving this continues to be an exciting one.
We can offer you the opportunity to work with highly able young people in a supportive, well-equipped and forward-thinking school. We offer a friendly and inclusive working environment and the chance to be part of a fantastic multidisciplinary team, who work hard and support each other to deliver personalised, bespoke education and care.
Staff benefit from a positive working environment, with strong support for professional development and specialist teaching rooms. We aim for high standards and the pursuit of academic excellence, helping every student to reach their full potential through the development of skills, concepts and knowledge, within the framework of a caring community. Relationships between staff and students are based on trust, mutual respect and a determination to succeed.
