Design Technology Technician – To start September 2026 (Part time – 3 days over 4)

Are you passionate about design, innovation, and hands‑on learning? We are looking for a proactive and skilled Design Technology Technician to support our Design Technology department and help bring creative ideas to life
The role and day to day responsibilities include:
- Prepare, maintain, and organise tools, machinery, and materials across Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, and/or Engineering.
- Support Head of DT in delivering exciting, practical lessons that inspire students.
- Ensure workshops and classrooms are safe, efficient, and ready for learning.
- Assist students with practical tasks, prototypes, and project work.
- Manage stock levels, order materials, and keep equipment in excellent condition.
- Contribute to a positive, creative, and forward‑thinking department culture.
About you
We are looking for someone who has practical experience with workshop tools, machinery, and Design Technology processes. Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail with a commitment to health and safety. If you are a problem‑solver with a can‑do attitude and someone who enjoys working with young people and supporting their learning then we would love to hear from you.
