About the Service
At St Matthews and St Saviours, we support adults with autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities, complex needs, and mental health conditions.

  • St Matthewsis a residential service providing accommodation for up to 10 people across two houses, including self-contained units.
  • St Savioursoffers a semi-independent lifestyle within a four-bedroom home, supporting individuals to live structured, meaningful, and person-centred lives within their local community.

Aspens Charities are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Service Manager to join our dedicated Adult Social Care team at St Matts and St Saviours.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in care management while continuing to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Deputising for the Service Manager when required
  • Leading, supervising and developing the staff team
  • Rota planning and workforce coordination
  • Managing safeguarding concerns and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Supporting CQC inspections and internal audits
  • Promoting Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches
  • Overseeing care planning, risk assessments and quality assurance
  • Monitoring budgets, petty cash and service resources
  • Participating in on-call duties as required

You will be fully supported with training and development, including opportunities to progress towards Level 5 qualifications.

About YouWe are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in a similar care setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Willing to undertake NVQ Level 5
  • Knowledgeable in autism, learning disabilities and mental health
  • Confident in leading and motivating a team
  • Skilled in rota planning, report writing and care planning
  • Passionate about delivering person-centred support

Desirable:

  • Management experience within a residential care setting
  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Conditions and complex needs
  • Full UK driving licence

You must be able to work a flexible 7-day rota pattern including early and late shifts and alternate weekends.
