Deputy Head Pastoral

We are seeking a compassionate and emotionally intelligent Deputy Head Pastoral to lead Pennthorpe’s pastoral vision and safeguarding culture. The ideal candidate will be a calm, thoughtful leader who ensures every pupil feels safe, supported, and able to thrive.

As Deputy Head Pastoral and Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will oversee all aspects of pupil wellbeing, behaviour, and safeguarding, bringing strong, up‑to‑date expertise and the highest standards of confidentiality. Working closely with the SLT and SMT, you will help shape a cohesive, caring, and forward‑thinking school environment.

You will also lead PSHEE from Reception to Year 8, delivering an engaging curriculum that supports pupils’ personal development and prepares them for life beyond school. This is a key senior leadership role for someone committed, collaborative, and passionate about helping children flourish.
