The Vacancy
Hours: Full-Time - 37.5 Hours Per WeekWorking pattern: 5 days (7.5 hours/day) or compressed into 4 days
Salary: £39,060 - £47,034 Per Annum, Depending on Experience
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate registered nurse to join our Inpatient Unit as Deputy Clinical Lead.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality specialist palliative and end-of-life care, while supporting the leadership and day-to-day coordination of our inpatient service.
Working closely with the IPU Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical and managerial leadership across the unit, help support and develop the nursing team, and contribute to safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led services for patients and families.
The role includes shared clinical responsibility:
- with the Clinical Lead and Medical Consultant for the specialist palliative care beds
- with the Nurse Consultant and Clinical Lead for the nurse-led beds on the unit
We are looking for someone with:
- current NMC registration
- significant experience in palliative or end-of-life care
- strong clinical assessment, communication and leadership skills
- a passion for supporting staff, service development and quality improvement
We would particularly welcome applications from nurses who are developing enhanced clinical skills and working towards Master’s level study, either through standalone modules or as part of an Advanced Clinical Practice pathway (willing to support Apprenticeship pathways)
