Up to 40 hours per week (to include weekends and bank holidays)

Salary:

£27,000 FTE

The role will support the daily success of Caffi Cyfle by deputising for the manager, and leading the kitchen and front of house team in their absence. The role combines hands on cooking with operational oversight to deliver outstanding food, professional events and a sustainable, community focused experience for all visitors.

You’ll take the lead on staff planning, creating weekly and monthly rotas that reflect footfall, events, and staff availability to keep everything running smoothly. With a focus on positive leadership, you’ll guide the team through inductions, coaching, daily briefings, and ongoing development—while also supporting work‑placement learners with tailored mentoring.

On the operational side, you’ll help deliver high‑quality, locally sourced meals and ensure a consistently high standard of service. You’ll oversee event operations for Venue in the Park, coordinating room bookings, setups, and catering for everything from community gatherings to strategy days, ensuring a seamless experience for all guests.

You’ll also take responsibility for stock control, EPOS data, waste recording, and financial accuracy to support efficiency and sustainability targets. A strong commitment to compliance is essential, as you’ll maintain strict food hygiene, allergen safety, COSHH requirements, and wider health and safety standards across both sites.

The role also plays an active part in our wider community offer, supporting workshops, luncheon clubs, marketing activity, and wider organisational projects. You will fully deputise for the Café Manager when required and contribute to the continued growth and development of our services.
