We are looking for an enthusiastic student to join our Representation team!
We are looking for a student to join the Representation Team in the support and delivery of the democratic representation structures at the University of Portsmouth Students’ Union and campaigns brought forward by elected representatives and students. The post holder will be responsible for the operational delivery of several aspects of the Union’s democratic representation processes and will also work closely with the Representation Specialists to deliver projects and events that support this. The successful candidate will work closely with UPSU’s elected representatives, including Part Time Officers and Faculty Reps, in order to provide campaign direction and to offer guidance/advice on achieving their campaign aims.
Skills you’ll need:
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated individual who is passionate about delivering change making projects. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and an ability to relate to students from all backgrounds.
- A considerable aspect of this role will involve student outreach; the post holder must be comfortable engaging with people and be committed to upholding high standards of customer service.
- You should be a well organised individual who is adaptable and flexible in their working styles, comfortable working independently and as part of the wider team.
Whilst applicants with an interest in student democracy and campaigning are encouraged to apply we are also looking for individuals who may hope to gain this experience and developmental training will be provided if necessary.
