Emmaus Colchester is seeking a Decorating Hub Facilitator to lead and deliver on our decorating HUB to ensure that it has maximum social and environmental impact as possible.

You will help us drive forward our new community-based resource to support the public with low-cost decorating needs, act as a central point of recycling and an epicentre to support community painting projects.

You will work directly with the Operations Manager in setting up our new service, organising and delivery of the wider project.

This is a varied role, and you will need to be able to respond to the needs of the community and assist with broader charitable aims.

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the Decorating HUB, ensuring smooth, safe, and effective operations.
  • Coordinate the receipt, sorting, safe storage, and redistribution of surplus/recycled paint and decorating materials.
  • Manage the Decorating HUB’s trade counter and workshop space, ensuring it’s welcoming, well maintained, and functional.

Through our residential community and thriving social enterprises across the city, we offer stability, purpose, and a route to rebuilding lives.

Emmaus is a unique, secular organisation supporting people affected by homelessness and social exclusion. There are currently 29 Emmaus communities across the UK, stretching from Glasgow to Dover and Norfolk to South Wales. Collectively, the Emmaus Federation supports more than 1,000 people with experience of homelessness.
