Coleg Sir Gar & Coleg Ceredigion are seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Curriculum Leadership Team as a Dean of Faculty
This is a pivotal strategic role responsible for the leadership, performance and development of a designated faculty area. Working closely with the Director of Curriculum, Heads of Curriculum and wider Senior Leadership Team, you will drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment, champion innovation, and ensure outstanding outcomes and experiences for learners.
You will provide strategic oversight of a range of programmes delivered across Pibwrlwyd, Gelli Aur, Jobs Well, Aberystwyth and Cardigan campuses, ensuring high-quality provision and consistent standards across all locations.

In addition, you will play a key role in supporting and shaping the exciting transition to our new Campws Caerfyrddin.
As Dean of Faculty, you will translate institutional strategy into operational success, leading curriculum development, quality enhancement and performance improvement across your faculty. You will play a key role in shaping future provision, strengthening industry engagement and ensuring our curriculum remains responsive to the needs of learners, employers and communities.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence educational excellence within a dynamic and ambitious organisation as we continue our journey within a developing Dual Sector University environment.
About the Role
As Dean of Faculty, you will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across your faculty area.
- Lead and support Heads of Curriculum to achieve high levels of performance and continuous improvement.
- Drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.
- Oversee curriculum planning, development and innovation.
- Champion quality assurance and enhancement processes.
- Use data and performance intelligence to improve recruitment, retention, attendance, achievement and progression.
- Promote bilingual and Welsh language development across the curriculum.
- Build strong partnerships with employers, professional bodies and external stakeholders.
- Ensure an outstanding learner experience through high-quality provision, support and engagement.
About You
Welsh Language Requirements:
- Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level
- Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level

- Proven experience in educational leadership and operational management.
- A strong track record of leading and developing teaching teams.
- Experience of driving improvements in curriculum quality, teaching and learning outcomes.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and people management skills.
- The ability to inspire others and lead change in a complex and evolving educational environment.
- A commitment to learner success, inclusion and continuous improvement.
- You will hold a relevant Degree/HND (or equivalent industry experience) together with a recognised teaching qualification.

Coleg Sir Gâr was created in 1985 and became a corporate institution in 1993. In 2013 it became Coleg Sir Gar Ltd, a company within the University of Wales: Trinity Saint David Group, and part of a regional Dual Sector University. The College has an annual turnover of over £35m and employs around 800 staff.
Coleg Ceredigion was created in 1985 and became a corporate institution in 1993. The college merged with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David as a subsidiary company in 2014. The college has an annual turnover of £6m and employs around 180 staff.
