Action Homeless is committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and the Safety and Response Officer team plays a vital role in ensuring everyone has a decent and safe place to call home.

This fantastic opportunity will see you support our services, to maintain the safety for our clients and security of our properties.

As a safety and response officer you will:

  • Respond to any emergency situations that occur
  • Provide a welcoming, responsive and proactive presence to our customers and visitors ensuring their safety and the safety of the buildings is upheld.
  • Carry out checks and regular patrols of the buildings, responding to any incidents and involving emergency services as and when is necessary.
  • Monitor and operate our CCTV systems across multiple sites and our door entry systems
  • Responsible for Health and Safety inspection whilst on duty, taking action when required and for implementing fire and fire alarm procedures including evacuation

We are looking for candidates with:

  • An approachable manner and the ability to remain calm.
  • Ability to operate CCTV systems and security equipment
  • Ability to operate smart phone technology and use ICT equipment for completion of reports and records
  • Understanding of Health and Safety
  • Ability to work as part of team but be as equally comfortable working alone
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to manage time and prioritise
  • Must be able to drive and have access to own vehicle
