Dawah Events Volunteer- Sisters

• Welcome attendees, assist with registration, and support access to relevant event areas.

• Support attendee flow and direct attendees where required, particularly during larger events.

• Serve food and refreshments and help keep event areas clean and organised.

• Support sisters' overnight stays, residential programmes and retreats where required.

• Assist with hospitality for speakers and guests, including setting up rooms, meals and refreshments.

• Help with microphones, recording and livestreaming where trained and appropriately briefed.

• Provide general practical support to the Dawah team during events.

• Be reliable, punctual and committed when agreeing to support an event.

• Be flexible and willing to assist with different tasks.

• Demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness and good Islamic character.

• Follow GLMCC policies, Islamic guidelines and safeguarding procedures.

• Complete a DBS check where required, with the cost of the clearance covered by GLMCC.

• Develop teamwork, communication and event-management skills.

• Build confidence, responsibility and leadership skills.

• Opportunities to support and work alongside the GLM Dawah team and speakers.

• Ongoing opportunities to develop practical skills, guided by the GLM Dawah team, and event briefings or inductions where appropriate to help volunteers understand how events are run.

• Volunteers will be well supported during events.

• A rewarding opportunity to serve the community and contribute to beneficial Dawah work.
